What is the international competitive bidding (ICB)?

International competitive bidding is a public and transparency bidding process allows all legal contractors in over the world join to provide the services, good or construction.
The list of legal contractors depends on the source of fund we use and normally each donor has a list of contractors come from a legal country to assure the right of members who provide money to them.

Why we have to set up an international competitive bidding?
International competitive bidding process is harder than or other one because many different kinds of contractors join the process and the management is very difficult. However, for huge and high technical required packages, this method is the best choice to looking for a contractor who has real capacity enough to do the package.

Each donor usually has their own regulation about bidding so their method is different too (number of the day publish document to contractor…) Therefore, when we make bidding process we need to have a total understand about the regulations of donor to do reasonably.
